STEMSpark offers professional learning experiences to support your continuing growth and development as an early childhood educator. Join us for an array of programs that take a whole-child approach to early STEM experiences, rooted in research and bolstered by best practices vetted in museum and classroom environments. Through our workshops educators will be able to:

  • Actively incorporate more STEM topics in their classrooms

  • Make naturally occurring STEM learning more visible to other educators and parents

  • Come away with new activities, ideas and resources for developmentally appropriate STEM experiments and experiences for students.

Using our observation skills, creativity, and imagination, we will introduce the engineering design process in developmentally appropriate ways to design, build, and test our very own animal homes. Fairytale Engineering: Story Inspired Hands-on Design Challenges

Stories are a powerful medium for engaging children in STEM thinking. Through this interactive workshop participants will try out three examples of story-based engineering activities designed for early learners where they can build, test and try again in order to reach a goal.
